God bless the moon and God bless me

nana and jimpa were down to visit last weekend. we all had the best time. nana made a lot of grand things to eat, while jimpa fed babies. we went for a long walk around ou campus and stopped in to let the boys check out the stadium.  they quite enjoyed the nubby grass. nana was ready to take off for the hills thinking the ou grass police would snatch us at any moment.
above is nana jimpa and the bambinos.

after our walk on campus we stumbled onto the dust bowl art fair.  i heart art fairs. it was just a really great day. its nice to be able to  have the boys unattached. a refreshing freedom.
a weekend of firsts for the buell clan. above we are on our way to eat out for the first time. we went to iron star and sat on the patio at campus corner. ahhh that sweet freedom.

the boys are growing too fast. frederick is weighing in at 13lbs! yes that was a big one-three.
cal is closing the gap at 10lbs 10oz. i see a comeback in his future.
this week on the 13th to be exact will be the boys official first ever, never to be had again 1/2 birthday. we are thinking maybe a 1/2 cake and some 1/2 gifts.  maybe we will invite 1/2 of all of you to join. i think i just took that too far?
we are in awe, shock, and deeply grateful of this milestone.
boys are all smiles these days. we are such total pushovers for this sneaky maneuver. i wonder how long this smiling thing will get them a get out of jail free card? three four years? it does make them doubly cute. we have been letting them have a teeny taste of foods here of late. frederick likes musk melon, both enjoy syrup and apple...soon very soon.  we are thinking dr will give the green light for cereal and foods on their six month.
boys are also loving songs. they smile when i sing. for those of you who have had the pleasure of hearing my pipes...well i'm good, in a real bad sort of way.  but my boys; they feel the love behind the flat pitch and off key quality of my singing.  i have deduced that frederick particularly enjoys tell me why you all remember. right? tell me why the stars brightly shine, tell me why the ivy twins, tell me why the sky's are blue and i'll tell you just why I love you........ he stares at you so intently when you sing that song. cal enjoys i see the moon and the moon sees me. both looove dont worry be happy. they giggle and coo when you get to the woooohoooohoooohooohoohooooohohohoooo dooo'nt  wooory beee haaaaapy. don't worry be happy now.  we must get it on tape. priceless.
we also got a package this week from granny. turns out she quite enjoys winning on ebay. her addiction our win. thanks for the halloween outfits. they are perfect.

until next time
much love
